Project Voyager Global Communications ManagerPROJECT VOYAGER GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER ROLE PROFILECONTEXT Diageo has embarked on an exciting and significant Business Transformation Programme underpinned by SAP S/4 HANA.Through this programme, Diageo aims to drive process, system and data standardization and simplification. This programme will be delivered over a multi-year period with global geographic reach. Diageo is seeking a Voyager Global Communications Manager, with functional experience in Master Data, Reporting and Analytics and Commercial, who has delivered programme-to-business communications & stakeholder engagement activities on a fast-paced, multi-wave SAP / ERP transformation programme. The Communications Manager must possess a strong ability to translate programme scope, vision, objectives and activities into engaging content for business stakeholders, impacted business communities and end users.This experience will include delivery involving cultural change, shift in mindset, data, functional & process change to transition to new ways of working underpinned by SAP technology.Purpose Of RoleThe Voyager Communications Manager will develop and deliver communications & stakeholder engagement plans and activities, providing innovative and engaging communications, campaigns and events that inform and motivate our people to successfully transition to and adopt new processes, systems and ways of working.This will be achieved by working with the Global Change Team (comprising Change Management, Communications & Stakeholder Engagement and Training), third-party service providers, Regional and Functional Change and Deployment teams and/or representatives, Programme Leadership team and business stakeholders.The role will report into the Global Communications & Stakeholder Engagement Lead to support the team’s overall communication and engagement responsibilities and engage / collaborate with the Regional Diageo communications network.Location is flexible.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESAs an integral part of the Global Comms team, act as a conduit for all communications covering Master Data Management, Reporting & Analytics and Commercial to stakeholders and impacted audiences.Understand key stakeholders within the programme workstreams & business, building trusted and collaborative relationships that enable Voyager’s communications outcomes. Execute the Voyager communication and stakeholder engagement strategy and plan, driving awareness and adoption of new processes, data and systems with third-party service providers and amplify through the Regional and Local teams.Craft clear, consistent and compelling messages to stakeholders in collaboration with the Master Data, Reporting & Analytics and Commercial workstream leads to drive programme outcomes across all business audiences e.g. functional governance and leadership engagement forums.Create targeted communications plans, produce creative & engaging materials such as presentations, emails, videos, sharepoint sites, FAQs, etc. Leverage and manage channels to share content with stakeholders and end users e.g. Viva Engage, global / functional Town Halls.Collaborate with third-party communications service provider as well as Regional and Local teams to create Deployment communications to stakeholders and business communities for example, creating Testing related Communications.Agree KPIs for communications effectiveness. Leverage tools, data and insights to measure; identify & implement remediation actions as needed.Collaborate effectively within Voyager’s Communications team and the wider Global & Regional Change team. Become the Comms SME for Master Data, Reporting & Analytics and Commercial with the ability to understand complex topics and translate into simple, easy to understand communications for the wider organization.Support Deployment and Change Champions and the regional teams, network or representatives in their efforts to localise, translate and launch communications and deploy events.Collaborate and align with the Voyager Training Team to incorporate key messages on behavioural / cultural changes into learning content as well as the wider Diageo communications community to achieve goals.Support the Voyager Programme Leadership Team in performing various activities and producing deliverables for the Voyager programme.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREDDegree educated in relevant business or subject (journalism, communications, public relations or marketing).7+ years’ experience in planning and managing communications campaigns and creating content that successfully supports people through change for complex transformational projects, ideally ERP / IT-enabled.Highly collaborative, mindset of achieving project goals as one team.Excellent skills in programme communication content development and proficient in using tools to develop communications content (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Viva Engage, Teams, Sharepoint, Synthesia, Biteable, Poppulo etc.)Experience in stakeholder event delivery e.g. Town Halls, roadshows, etc.Strong knowledge of corporate communication channels and ability to innovate to generate excitement and increase engagement.Native English capability across verbal, written and presentation communication skills. Ability to effectively target and tailor the message and medium to various audience groups to achieve intended outcomes.Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and ability to deliver high-quality communications in compressed timelines.
