Job Description

What You’ll Do
- The Product Owner will support Core Application Certification Tools utilized by our Network Partners for testing of their Authorization, Settlement/Interchange and Disputes changes (future).
- You will prioritize enhancements to improve Discover Network (DN) and Diners Club International (DCI) partner certification and testing experiences, including improvements to accessibility.
- You will collaborate with others to develop comprehensive requirements and will ensure projects adhere to Enterprise Change Management policies and best practices.
- You will verify all in-house and vendor-built and managed certification tools requirements are developed, tested and delivered to Discover quality, performance and efficiency standards.

How You’ll Do It

- The Product Professional is a servant leader not the manager of team members; has well-rounded job knowledge; helps coach/mentor others on the team.
- Structure the work for the team; delegates work; builds product backlog; prioritizes its items to achieve Objectives and Key Results (OKRs); continuously keeps it up-to-date.
- Maintains key product documentation (e.g., customer journey map, technical specs, process mapping).
- Understands ensures product features/processes align with applicable Discover regulatory compliance/risk management standards.
- Ensures product adheres to highest quality standards including releasing security patches not linked customers.
- Articulates requirements (regulatory contractual) into use cases agile stories acceptance criteria ensuring compliance.
- Creates validates user story acceptance criteria; inspects evaluates product progress through each iteration.
- Leads Agile practices (sprints planning execution retros); holds meetings with product team continuously updating backlog.
- Defines functional non-functional product requirements ensuring completeness integral consistent source requirements for product team.
- Creates validates user story acceptance criteria executes appropriate testing frameworks for features market testing functional performance etc.).
- Works Data stewards respective LOBs ensuring required Data quality controls identified implemented inspect evaluate progress through each iteration partners business technology create technical features required continuously optimize system components underline infrastructure maintenance manages communicates scope deliverables timelines projects plans storyboarding structuring complex information visually contributes development vision connecting how solutions support goals responsible delivering Minimum Viable Product MVP collaborates cross-functional teams supporting go-to-market strategies builds culture accountability ownership empowering decisions close work partners vendors cross-functional partners evaluation development management monitoring enhancement assigned products programs actively manages escalates risk customer-impacting issues within day-to-day role management.

Qualifications

You’ll Need

The Basics
- Bachelors in Information Technology Engineering Business Administration Management Finance Economics Statistics or related experience in Product Management or Engineering experience in Financial Services Tech Industry or related In lieu education Product Management Engineering experience Financial Services Tech Industry or related.
