Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for an IT infrastructure engineering specialist on a 6 month Contract, based in Yorkshire.
Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to help implement and support a complex IP migration programme. The role is to work with other infrastructure engineers, specialist on-site engineers to configure and deploy network and computing components of a government platform.
Responsibilities
1. Supports the implementation of technical solutions for both customers and colleagues and delivers on the resolution of inter-system issues, working within cross-functional squads to assist in creating and implementing technical solutions for a domain or cross domain activity within a specific technology area.
2. Supports in the execution of technical decisions, technology choices and architecture for a wide range of high-performance products, capabilities, and platforms, effectively balancing short-term impact with long-term transformation.
3. Supports with the designs of technical specifications and development of software solutions of smaller and/or less complex initiatives in partnership with team, contributing towards the quality of delivery.
4. Assists with planning and monitoring of all activities, from scoping to live, to ensure agreed scope and benefits are delivered in a contained project.
5. Develops working relationships and communicates with a range of project stakeholders across teams to ensure actions completed, progress updated and impacts on other components managed.
6. Supports the identification and resolution of issues and defects to ensure delivery to required standard.
7. Reviews own work and peers’ outputs to contribute to identify and flag errors or potential issues.
8. Maintains systems by monitoring and correcting software defects.
9. Supports the delivery of an ambitious and compelling technical roadmap to meet the needs of the business, engineering team, and partner teams.
10. May support engineeringand operational excellence initiatives, assisting with implementing metricsand processes for regular assessmentand improvement Security Clearance - Eligibleto be Security Clearedto SC level
