Key Responsibilities:• Oversee the provisioning, maintenance, and stability of all programme environments (development, testing, staging, and production) to support programme delivery.• Plan and coordinate release activities, ensuring alignment with project milestones and environment readiness.• Troubleshoot and resolve environment-related issues and deployment blockers to minimise delivery delays.• Manage the release lifecycle, including scheduling, monitoring, and implementing rollback plans when necessary.• Collaborate with BAU teams to ensure smooth handover and alignment of environments and releases with operational processes.• Act as a central point of contact for environment and release management within the programme, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.• Continuously improve processes for environment provisioning and release deployment to enhance efficiency and minimise risks.Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in software release management and environment management or related roles.Experience in Agile software development methodologies.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Familiarity with software configuration management tools.Experience with DevOps practices and tools.Experience of the full software development cycle.Experience of working in an agile development environment.Experience of working and administering in an automated build and deployment environment.Familiarity with automated deployment (including scripting) and continuous integration is desirable.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experienceKnowledge:5+ years environments and release management.Deployment and operation of solutionsKnowledge of programme and project delivery best practice based on industry-standard methodologies (e.g., PMI, Prince2, Praxis, MSP)Knowledge of enterprise service management best practice (e.g., ITIL)Knowledge of agile manifesto, and DevOps best practice (e.g., Scrum, CI/CDAppreciation of technology and architecture best practice to be able assess the suitability of a solution to address a business problem and understand the associated technical delivery risk.IT controls and the purpose of an IT controls framework.
