Job Summary:
Enterprise Network Architect
Location: Milton Oxfordshire
12 months contract with possible extension
The Enterprise Network Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a scalable, secure, and high-performing network infrastructure. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop network solutions aligned with business goals, ensuring network security, and optimizing performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Architecture & Design: Develop and implement enterprise-level network solutions, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, cloud networking, and data center infrastructure.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure network security through firewall configurations, VPNs, and compliance with industry standards (ISO, NIST, etc.).
- Cloud & Hybrid Integration: Design and integrate cloud-based networking solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP) with on-prem infrastructure.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance to ensure minimal downtime and efficient traffic flow.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Work with IT, security, and business teams to align network strategies and document architectures, standards,,and procedures.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Evaluate and manage network-related vendors and service providers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise: Strong experience in Cisco,, Juniper,, Palo Alto,,and SD-WAN technologies.
- Routing & Switching: In-depth knowledge of BGP,, OSPF,, MPLS,,and QoS.
- Cloud Networking: Experience with AWS,, Azure,,, or GCP networking solutions.
- Security Frameworks : Understanding of Zero Trust,,, SASE,,,and NAC (Network Access Control).
- Certifications (Preferred): CCIE,,, JNCIE,,, AWS/Azure Networking,,, TOGAF,,,,or equivalent.
- Experience : 10+ years in network engineering with at least 5 years in an architecture role
