This role represents a brand new opportunity and is aligned with our highly successful sister company, Comparison Creator - a software development company specialising in providing outsourced solutions for product comparison websites. You may recognise some of their websites: MoneySuperMarket, Compare the Market, Go.Compare, Confused and Moneysaving Expert.

The purpose of your role:
You will work collaboratively with stakeholders to discover, analyse and agree business requirements for enhancements to their software product and then convert these into coherent functional and non-functional requirements suitable for use by the software development, test and support teams. You will also produce appropriate business documentation for use by the wider team.
What you'll do:
Your role will have lots of variety; it will be fast-paced and challenging at times. Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the Comparison Creator software product/s.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Analyse business processes associated with enhancement requests.
- Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources; reconcile conflicts; identify underlying true needs from stakeholder requests.
- Take ownership of the scope of each project from discovery to launch; ensure that agreed scope is delivered to expected level of quality within project budget.
- Create thoroughly analysed well described user stories & acceptance criteria; work with UX/UI Team on wireframes where appropriate; collaborate with Technical Architect & Technical Leads.
- Present agreed scope & finer detail to key stakeholders (internal/external) as well as internal Development/Test teams.
- Regularly review progress & report this to Project Manager while keeping other internal stakeholders informed on project progress.
- Sign off & showcase delivered software enhancement & support release to customers.
- Play an active role in defining/implementing quality standards/processes across BA/Delivery teams.
What you'll need to succeed:
This is a key role in our Business Analysis team. While you will be working as part of a wider team, you will be the sole business analyst working on Comparison Creator products located from a different office. Therefore it is essential that you have already been working for a significant period as a Business Analyst.
Knowledge:
- Good understanding of software development life cycle ideally within agile environment
- Creation of business/functional requirements documents for web-based IT systems
- Some knowledge/willingness to learn more about financial services industry/products
Business Process & Analysis Skills:
- Analysis complex systems identifying underlying business rules
- Business process/workflow/user journey based analysis
- Ideally knowledge SCRUM/AGILE delivery processes
Communication Skills:
- Ability write succinct/non-conflicting/unambiguous requirements
- Ability write use cases/user stories clear acceptance criteria
- Ability create wireframes solidify application workflow/design key user interactions
- Excellent English verbal/written communication skills communicate effectively non-tech colleagues
- Good presentation skills
- Good interpersonal skills: teamwork relationship building influencing

Team Set-Up:
You will be part Defaqto Product Management team working alongside 9 colleagues including Business Analysis User Experience Manager whom you report into. The role hybrid so must commute comfortably Comparison Creator offices located Cwmbran South Wales – easy commute Cardiff Newport Bristol. The team tend work office couple times each week. You’ll frequently call BA colleagues around once month expect travel Haddenham office which Defaqto HQ.
