Company Overview:
At The Action Sports Translator, we are looking for an experienced, freelance copy & content project manager with a background and a proven track record managing mid to large-scale copywriting projects (ideally for ecommerce), and a passion for outdoor sports (ideally winter and mountain sports).

Role Overview:
As a freelance content project manager, you will manage mid to large-scale copywriting projects for a handful of our clients–some of the world's most iconic and exciting outdoor and action sports brands–for their ecommerce channels.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire lifecycle of copywriting projects, from briefing to publication, ensuring timely delivery and quality of copy.
- Lead and supervise a team of copywriters and editors, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure high-quality content production.
- Closely work with the rest of our team (content project managers, translation project managers, vendor managers) to manage and tackle the overall project requirements (all copy written by our team is later translated into multiple languages).
- Collaborate with marketing, design, and product teams on the client side to ensure content consistency and brand alignment throughout the project.
- Use content and project management systems to manage the project and communication with team members, writers/editors, and clients.
- Oversee and manage project budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and adherence to financial targets.

Requirements:
- Proven experience managing large teams of writers/editors in mid to large-scale copywriting projects (ideally ecommerce or agency-side) along with budget management.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional organizational skills coupled with strong communication abilities.
- Capacity for teamwork as well as independent work ethic.
- Quick learner when it comes to new tech/tools.
- Great written/spoken English at near-native level.
- A proactive solution-oriented can-do attitude – taking extreme ownership over everything you do without making assumptions.
- Comfortable liaising with client stakeholders while leading conversations.
- Passionate about one or more outdoor sports; excited about working directly with some of the world's most exciting outdoor/action sports brands.

Important Notes:
→ Fully remote
→ Freelance / long-term contract
→ Availability in GMT/CET/EEST (not EST)
→ Hours TBC; most of our project managers work 80–130 hours per month
