Department Overview
Working in the Asset Management division, the Finance Control team is responsible for the financial operations, statutory and regulatory reporting as well as providing commercial insights and analytics to support business strategy and objectives. The ideal candidate would be a self-motivated team player with experiences in a similar role in Financial Services, preferably in Investment Management; someone who understands the UK regulatory and tax landscapes; confident in managing a small team; able to delegate; and develop existing team members. The candidate must be able to prioritize individual and team workloads while delivering high quality, accurate work to meet deadlines required by internal and external parties.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting
- Knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS accounting treatment application is essential
- Oversees and manages the production of accurate financial statements
- Manage annual audit process
- Coordinate with the team for producing Financial statements including accounting notes
- Accountable for daily operations managed by outsourced teams
- Ensure smooth close of month-end/quarter-end including timely reconciliations
- Production of Quarterly/Monthly Financial performance MI
- Review accrued management fees prepared by NAM Tokyo

Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with HMRC reporting requirements such as PSA/VAT/Corporation Tax
- Review Tax outputs with Tax business partners
- Ensure all activities comply with FCA regulations/guidelines

Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support budgeting/forecasting process providing insights for decision-making
- Monitor/report on financial performance against budgets

Skills & Experience:
Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
Strong technical grounding in financial accounting
Strong written/oral communication skills
Analytical/inquisitive mindset
Attention to detail essential
Advanced Excel proficiency
Strong MS Word/PPT/Outlook skills

The ideal candidate would be self-motivated with experience in a similar role within Financial Services. Must prioritize workloads while delivering high-quality work meeting deadlines set by internal/external parties.
