Process Engineer – Contract (Macclesfield, 3 Days On-Site) - Pharma/Biotech Experience
Company Overview:
DNA Life Sciences is partnering with a leading UK-based pharmaceutical company to support the design of a new facility. We are looking for multiple experienced Process Engineers to join this exciting project on a contract/self-employed basis. This role requires on-site presence in Macclesfield (3 days per week), with flexibility for remote work on other days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead process design activities, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
- Develop and optimize basic and detailed engineering designs, including P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and system layouts.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Provide technical expertise in process development, scale-up, and operational improvements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in process engineering within a regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceuticals, biotech, manufacturing).
- Strong knowledge of process design principles, including fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and system integration.
- Ability to interpret and develop technical documentation (P&IDs, process flow diagrams, specifications).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Availability to work on-site in Macclesfield (3 days per week).
