Description
Main contracting organisation that delivery cutting edge projects in the rail industry requires a Commercial Manager level candidate to join their team in York. If you have a detailed understanding of UK claims processes, particularly ICC and NR12 and would be interested in an outside IR35 in York 2-3 days a week please apply!
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day commercial tasks within the rail projects
- Engage in customer-facing conversations on application, change, and general contract communications
- Develop and manage detailed commercial reports
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks
- Provide commercial support and advice to project teams
- Handle claims processes and ensure detailed knowledge transfer
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in Quantity Surveying
- Detailed understanding of UK claims processes, particularly ICC and NR12
- Proficiency in managing commercial tasks in the rail industry
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
