Great opportunity to work as an Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI / ML) Engineer, for a reputable international Oil & Gas E&P Company, on a contract basis for 9 months initially.
The Role:
- The Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Engineer will assist in the development of AI tools for optimization of complex systems and computer vision applied to seismic:
- Work with senior engineers and geophysicists in the development of AI tools using python and open-source machine learning tools
- Data loading, QC and training of AI models
- Assistance in the development of optimization code for complex flow systems
- Review existing AI efforts and identify opportunities to streamline code
- Work with senior engineers and geophysicists in applying AI computer vision tools to seismic data
- Acting as a focus for implementation of use cases for AI technology within the company.
- Work with other stakeholders to distribute results of AI models
Responsibilities:
- Develop and train advanced neural network models to meet specific functional requirements.
- Apply deep learning models including recurrent neural network models to mimic physics based models of fluid flow.
- Combine AI models of individual components to develop a complex flow system.
- Use black box optimization routines to optimize complex flow systems.
- Use image segmentation techniques to develop AI vision techniques applied to 3D seismic volumes.
- Deploy neural networks and integrate with end use teams
- Continuously monitor, update and improve the models and the platform based on user feedback and evolving technological trends.
Office-based role in Central London with expectation of 4 days per week in the office, one day from home. Working hours: 8am – 5pm.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Familiarity with deep learning and machine learning algorithms and the use of popular AI/ML frameworks. This should include strong programming skills in Python and libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras, and Numpy. Experience in AI timeseries problems or computer vision would be an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree and several years of experience in computer science, data science, software development, or another related field
