Role Overview:
We are looking for a Programme Manager to shape the VaR demand strategy and delivery execution for a major tech transformation initiative within trading and risk. This role sits at the intersection of technology and business, requiring someone who can understand the demand for transformation and successfully deliver large-scale programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the demand strategy for transformation, ensuring alignment with business and IT objectives.
- Lead the delivery of a new VaR system, replacing the existing platform (Cliq) with a new vendor solution.
- Develop the implementation strategy, ensuring adoption and efficiency of the new platform.
- Engage and manage stakeholders at all levels, including risk teams, traders, IT, and change management.
- Collaborate with lower-level teams to ensure smooth integration and execution of projects.
- Oversee risk transformation initiatives, particularly within market risk (VaR).
Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong Programme Management background with a solid Project Management skill set.
- Experience in trading and investment banking (IB).
- Market risk expertise particularly in VaR methodologies systems.
- Proven track record in delivering large-scale technology transformations within financial services.
- Exceptional communication stakeholder management skills able to influence senior leaders.
