Position Overview:
Currently seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager for a contract role in Portsmouth. This position is hybrid (3 days on-site) and reports directly to the Senior Procurement Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage sourcing strategies for procurement projects, ensuring best value and regulatory compliance.
- Lead supplier selection, qualification, and contract negotiations.
- Provide expert commercial and contractual guidance across a range of categories including Construction, IT & Technology, and Professional Services.
- Identify and implement innovative sourcing solutions that drive business efficiency.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management in a multi-stakeholder environment.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to present complex contractual data clearly.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
- Strong organisational and project management capabilities.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience within the water industry or category-specific supply chains.
- Knowledge of regulated procurement procedures (UCR/PCR) and NEC suite of contracts.
- CIPS/MCIPS qualification or equivalent expertise.
- Project management experience or qualifications.
