Position Requirements
We are seeking candidates who are:
- Based in the UK for full-time direct hire employment (GMT), or
- Long-term international contractors located in Austria, Spain, Poland, Ireland, Italy or the Netherlands.

Summary
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (IC3) to take a leading role in building maintaining automating our cloud infrastructure with a strong emphasis on transitioning to Kubernetes (K8s) containerization. This role also requires solid expertise in core Linux systems experience managing virtual machines (VMs) as our infrastructure will include a hybrid of both traditional VMs containerized applications during this transition. The successful candidate will excel at automating processes navigating complex infrastructure challenges leading projects from inception completion. They should be comfortable with managing both legacy cutting-edge systems ensuring a smooth secure transition to our next-gen Kubernetes platform. Additionally they must be skilled at communicating with both technical non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Lead the design implementation scaling of Kubernetes clusters support our containerized platform while also managing legacy VM-based infrastructure during transition.
- Manage maintain Linux-based VMs server environments ensuring secure stable operations as we shift towards Kubernetes.
- Automate infrastructure management tasks across both VMs Kubernetes environments using tools like Terraform Ansible Helm.
- Troubleshoot optimize both Linux VMs Kubernetes environments ensuring high availability performance security.
- Collaborate software engineers ensure smooth transition from VM-based infrastructure containerized environments improving development workflows along way.
- Create maintain CI/CD pipelines support both traditional VM-based applications Kubernetes deployments automating testing deployment processes.
- Monitor virtual infrastructure part 24x7 on-call rotation respond alerts.
- Document infrastructure architecture decisions processes.
Required Skills
7+ years of experience working with infrastructure operations including Devops SRE Systems Engineer roles.
Infrastructure as code (IaC) expertise with Terraform Ansible automating infrastructure setup scaling maintenance.
Strong experience with Kubernetes Docker including designing deploying scaling containerized applications production.
Ability troubleshoot optimize Linux systems containerized environments ensuring performance security across both.
Deep understanding of Kubernetes concepts such as Pods Services Ingress ConfigMaps Secrets Namespaces etc..
Excellent troubleshooting skills containerized environments ability solve complex problems involving Kubernetes cloud infrastructure..
Experience building maintaining CI/CD pipelines support both VM-based based applications..
Experience Helm managing Kubernetes applications deployments..
Expertise core Linux skills including administration networking security troubleshooting..
Familiarity Kubernetess networking security best practices including RBAC Network Policies etc...
