Objectives of this roleIf you’re looking for a new challenge, where you can play a key role in preventing potential risks to our customers, this could be the ideal role for youWork in partnership with the first line of defence and businesses in applying effective risk management, and anticipating and assessing the potential impacts of risk across the bankStay on top of potential risks, and be adequately aware of the risk exposure of the business, keeping its internal operations in mindIdentify risks, and evaluate them in terms of their plausibility and repercussions and curate risk mitigation and management policies to reduce the effectiveness of the riskWork in partnership with the first line of defence and businesses in applying effective risk management, and anticipating and assessing the potential impacts of risk across the bankResponsibilitiesDevelop risk control and management strategies to reduce the financial and legal impact on the businessEvaluate the current risk management processes and determine their effectiveness in a future scenarioLiaise with, and guide senior management and the stakeholders about the current and potential risks through reports, documentation and presentations periodicallyDeveloping and supporting the interrogation and analysis of relevant management information, supporting effective risk management on the part of your stakeholdersControlling resources that contribute to the development of guidance notes and training material and content, up-skilling the broader first line of defence function and businessesEnsure that the company meets its legal and regulatory risk requirementsRequired skills and qualificationsBachelor’s degree in economics, finance, business administration or a similar disciplinePrior experience as a risk manager or in a similar roleA minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience with either a mid or top-tier consulting firm or Big4 with experience in Risk assessments, Audit, Assurance and ControlsExperience in performing and interpreting gap analysis and developing risk remediation strategiesExcellent communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to influence at all levelsPLEASE NOTE - This must be a UK based candidate
