Role Overview:
The HR Auditor is responsible for assessing, reviewing, and ensuring compliance with the organization's HR policies, procedures, and practices. This role involves auditing human resource operations, systems, documentation, and employee records to ensure that the organization adheres to applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards. The HR Auditor will identify areas of improvement and provide recommendations for enhanced HR efficiency, compliance, and risk management.

This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with an Early-Stage Start-up located in London. We are a team of 30+ members located across 5 different countries. You would be joining in a key stage of the Start-up & play a key role in its success. This is an opportunity for someone who likes to prove themself & climb the career ladder effectively at the same accelerated phase of the Start-up.

Important Note:
There is no salary in this role; Team members would receive equity shares in the company based on their level of contribution. Consultant will be receiving Company Shares in our funding round; Shares will be allocated in the upcoming funding round that will be closed before / after 31 December 2025. These allocated shares can be liquidated in subsequent funding rounds. Team members will benefit from increased share prices in 2025 at liquidation time.
Equity Shares Calculation:
Equity Shares will be calculated based on £10/hr (GBP) & company shares will be allocated to team members during funding rounds closing before / after December 31st of 2025. Shares allocation occurs post-funding round closure.

Key Responsibilities:
HR Compliance Audits:
- Conduct audit of HR policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with local state federal labor laws as well as industry regulations.
- Evaluate organization’s compliance with HR-related best practices.
- Identify mitigate any compliance risks related employee/consultant relations compensation benefits recruitment training other functions.
Team Members Record Auditing:
- Review Team member files records ensure accuracy completeness compliance legal organizational requirements.
- Ensure proper documentation hiring performance evaluations disciplinary actions promotions terminations.
- Verify integrity HR data including personal details contracts benefits enrollment other sensitive information.
Audit Reports Documentation:
- Prepare present detailed audit reports senior management highlighting discrepancies gaps non-compliance issues discovered during audits.
- Recommend corrective actions process improvements enhance operations compliance.
- Maintain records audits conducted including action plans follow-up actions taken.
Risk Management:
- Assess identify potential related risks (e.g., legal exposure grievances compensation issues) propose strategies mitigating these risks.
- Collaborate legal compliance teams develop corrective action plans identified risks.
Policy Review Development:
- Evaluate effectiveness policies procedures recommend updates revisions needed ongoing relevance adherence managers staff consultants/employees communicated clearly all parties involved.
Qualifications:
Education: Degree Human Resources Business Administration or related field
Experience:
Minimum of 15 years industry experience
Proven experience typically 3–5 years auditing management or related field
Experience knowledge labor laws regulations
Skills:
Detail-oriented ability identify discrepancies areas improvement
Excellent communication skills both written verbal
Ability maintain confidentiality handle sensitive information
Knowledge best practices industry standards
