Technology Resilience Manager - Continuity & Resilience - Banking
Excellent opportunity opens for a Technology Resilience Manager to join an International Bank's UK Technology team and will have responsibility for supporting Technology Resilience including IT Disaster Recovery (DR) across all IT related functions for the UK Bank.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development of the Continuity and Resilience programme, including scheduling, developing and leading all technical DR exercises for the UK Bank and co-ordinate IT support for Group level DR testing.
- Provide subject matter expertise on infrastructure resilience and recovery methodologies, taking into account resiliency best practice and industry standards.
- Contribute to the design and development of a technology resiliency framework and controls aligned to Traditional, Cloud and Hybrid based architectures.
- Establish infrastructure resilience needs fit with the move to DevSecOps ways of working.
- Ensure all required resiliency control requirements are being met as part of infrastructure design.
- Contribute to the Bank's technology resilience strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with the Bank's overall business strategy.
- Contribute to the Technical Resilience Policy for the Bank and the reporting of compliance against the policy.
- Influence business and IT leadership to ensure integration of resiliency planning into new or reengineered technology solutions.
- Conduct technical resiliency assessments of Core Services and Business Applications (in Cloud or on-premises solutions).
- Validate technologies have appropriate recovery solutions that Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) can successfully be achieved through infrastructure related DR testing.
- Input to technology resilience continuity plans developed to ensure availability of IT infrastructure applications in event of disruption or disaster, including development of DR plans inputting into business continuity plans crisis management plans.
- Support design implementation Continuity procedures critical IT systems applications.
- Support carry out regular risk assessments identify potential risks Bank’s IT infrastructure develop mitigation plans.
- Take part in regular tests IT resilience continuity plans ensure effective up-to-date meet regulatory requirements.
- Support supply chain relationships IT resilience continuity solutions needed support negotiating contracts service level agreements through intra-group agreement.
- Collaborate teams across organization promote culture resilience provide training on infrastructure resilience best practices.
- Ensure compliance relevant regulations industry standards such as ISO 22301 ISO 27001 GDPR.
Role Requirements:
5+ years experience in technology resilience preferably banking financial services sector. Significant experience designing organizing leading reporting DR tests. Experience embedding frameworks controls technology resilience continuity. Experience managing stakeholders contributing teams ensure full commitment technology resilience initiatives. Strong knowledge IT infrastructure applications network architecture database management cloud computing. Strong project management skills especially relation technical DR exercises. Experience Traditional Cloud based Core Infrastructure Business Applications recent experience managing transition external Cloud provider model specific experience Microsoft Azure Amazon AWS Google Cloud Compute relevant professional certifications CBCP MBCI or ITIL desirable familiarity industry standards guidelines eg ISO 22301 ITIL etc excellent verbal written communication skills ability analyse articulate present complex issues clearly concisely integrity discretion ability work well under pressure attention detail organized approach work.
