Role: Sub Assembler
Salary: £Competitive
Location: Burton on Trent, Staffordshire (DE13 8EN)
Hours: Monday to Thursday 07.00 to 17:00pm and Friday 07.00 to 13.00pm, 44 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
We are looking for an experienced Sub Assembler to join our team in Barton Under Needwood refurbish cylinder heads including surface grinding and valve seat turning.
What you will be doing:
- Fault finding down to component level using test results to pin point failures
- Keeping the work environment safe.
- Machining cylinder heads to specification
- Inspecting incoming components checking for defects and imperfections
- Testing assembled products to strict criteria required within the rail sector
- Carrying out quality inspections at all stages of the assembly process
- Creating and completing technical documentation and procedures for warranty
- Preserving and maintaining all company tools and equipment in your care
Are you an individual with the following?
- A recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification
- Good knowledge of general engineering practices such as overhauling units/measuring/use of measuring equipment/component inspection/Testing and Fault Finding.
- Work as part of a team as well as being able to work autonomously
- Experience within a similar role
- Good hand skills in an engineering workshop.
