Operations Manager
Description
The operations team is a core part of the Auction business and oversee various activities including yard vehicle movements, Inspections, VCP and Imagery. Team members are responsible for ensuring all operational processes run efficiently, and support the smooth running of the day-to-day function. Ensuring sales are delivered successfully and operational and customer service excellence is met at all times.Scope Of RoleTo lead, manage and drive all aspects of the Operations function, providing dedicated support and resource to ensure effective delivery whilst maintaining customer service and operational excellence through best practice. To promote and work towards continued process improvement and efficiency, working within KPI/SLAs.Objectives For Role To manage and lead the Operations department and team in their day to day duties, ensuring that correct resource is available for expected unit entry to inspect vehicles within customer SLA requirementsResponsible for the delivery of on-line performance and measures, ensuring standard operating procedures and Manheim standards are met, driving and reviewing on-line activity, productivity and qualityClosely monitor productivity and quality standards across the functionsEnsure the Inspections team are productive and delivering a high quality of inspections at all times meeting SLAsComplete or ensure all management reports are produced and circulated, highlighting and addressing any performance issuesEnsure customer/internal complaints/queries are investigated thoroughly and in an acceptable timescaleManage the flow of vehicles throughout the outside operation, ensuring all the functions from Inspection to Recon, Valet or Storage areas are working in harmony with each other to maximise capacity and efficiencyEnsure the smooth integration of the Inspection and Manheim Assured functionsEnsure any training requirements for the team or individuals are identified and effectively supportedComplete all people management activities including; personal development, training and Learning & Development, as well as completing relevant performance reviews and processThrough effective communication ensure that all supervisors and operations team members are continuously updated and are aware ofwhat is expected, including supporting/holding daily/weekly team meetings in line with Manheims communication frameworkIdentifying and delivering ways in which to improve processes to drive increased online penetration, increased revenue and profitabilityContinually assess ways of working to ensure the most effective and efficient way of undertaking the processes within your area, ensuring that you and your team work closely with the Service Delivery & Buyer Services teamsResponsible for the co-ordination of Health & Safety for the entire site, ensure all Health & Safety documentation and training takes place and is completed in a timely mannerWork closely with the Sales and Buyer Services functions to ensure stock management is up to date, including supporting and undertaking regular stock checksSkills, Knowledge And Experience Proven management experience within a similar working environment and successfully managing large teamsExperience of working within rigid regulations and proceduresProven experience within an Operational/Logistical environmentExperience within a customer facing role with the ability to resolve customer queries and complaints to a mutual satisfactionBackground in a fast paced business environmentBudgetary and business planning experienceExperience in understanding and analysing financial reports or budgets with the ability to analyse data to drive performanceExcellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and writtenGood time management and organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines, prioritise workloads and delegate tasksGood analytical skills with the ability to work in line with KPIs and SLAsGood working knowledge of Manheim products and service#INDARCox Automotive is the worlds largest automotive service organisation.
