Working with a leading banking client to secure the services of a Finance Manager to join the London team.

The role

The UK Finance team aims to be a strategic partner and advisor in achieving the clients' Innovation Bank's overall mission to increase our clients' probability of success. This includes supporting all of the Management Information (MI), business analysis, financial reporting, Financial Control, Treasury and Tax activity for the Bank. This will be done by:

- Delivering insights to support decision-making, drive performance, and set strategy.
- Establishing a strong control environment to meet our obligations, protect our business and deliver smart, safe growth.

We are looking to hire a talented individual to support UK financial reporting and controls. The role will report to the Head of Financial Accounting and Reporting and will work closely with the broader Finance team as well as Compliance, Business Risk, Operations Internal and External Audit teams.

The role-holder will work with global and regional colleagues to embed appropriate tools processes and controls that support expanded business requirements along with enhanced accounting governance control requirements including IFRS reporting statutory audit.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will oversee or play a key role in:

1. Financial control and accounting:
- Support local IFRS accounting ensuring timely period end close alongside a team based in India central Group teams.
- Collaborate with support these teams ensuring financial controls are embedded driving financial integrity mitigating related risks.
- This includes supporting accounting operations associated controls ledger maintenance integrity.

2. Group financial reporting:
- Support monthly quarterly financial performance reporting presentations including variance analysis supporting close for senior management Board regulators (as required).

3. Statutory reporting audit:
- Support production sign-off statutory accounts in the UK including sourcing testing associated processes new IFRS reporting liaising external auditors internal stakeholders ensuring timely resolution audit queries.

4. Process control improvements:
- Partner global teams continually look opportunities lead support enhancements processes efficiency effectiveness control.

5. Accounting policies procedures:
- Recommend maintain enhance accounting procedures comply Sarbanes-Oxley IFRS applicable internal policies regulatory requirements.
- Maintain awareness evaluate accounting regulatory pronouncements lead development new policies procedures appropriate.

6. Tax:
- Support local tax activity across clients Innovation Bank as required.

The individual will work as part of a small team finance professionals based in the UK collaborating multiple teams globally meeting clients Innovation Bank's accounting control reporting tax requirements building strong relationships individuals at various levels across multiple teams time-zones Matrix management structure.

Skills Requirements:
