Role: DevOps Engineer
Location: London/ Edinburgh, UK
Project Type: Contract
Mandatory Skills:
- Proficient in working with git and version control, a very good hands-on experience with GitLab, understanding of GitLab access/permissions, pipelines, runners, secret management and flow
- Strong working experience in using Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) and Kafka CDC
- A very good understanding of Continuous integration, poll SCM and webhook trigger using GitLab CI
- A very good understanding of build frameworks (Maven, npm, yarn) and their lifecycles
- Proficient in creation of end to end CI-CD pipeline including on-prem and cloud solutions both
- Understanding of GitOps model and its implementation
- A very good understanding of DevSecOps, handling of security from the very beginning, GitLab DevSecOps capability and its integration in pipeline
- Proficient in writing scripts using Bash Shell, Python; understanding of YAML
Secondary Skills:
- Knowledge in containerization using Docker & Kubernetes; container image (Dockerfile) creation and deployment in Kubernetes cluster using HELM; ArgoCD/Flux; understanding of OpenShift on prem/ROSA will be an edge
- Understanding of AWS key concepts and core networking; working experience with AWS (IAM, EKS, VPC, S3, EC2, Lambda, CloudWatch) will be an edge
- Understanding and working experience of IaC (Terraform) will be an edge
