Job Brief:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Foundation Data Manager to oversee and manage foundation data and processes within ServiceNow across a complex technology landscape. The role involves collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and suppliers to ensure accurate configuration item management throughout their lifecycle. The Foundation Data Manager will contribute to the Configuration Management Community of Practice and report to the Global Configuration & Data Integration Team Lead. As the custodian of CSDM foundation data within ServiceNow, you will manage companies, locations, users, cost centers, product models, departments, and groups. Working alongside the Configuration Manager, your role is crucial in delivering a robust CMDB to enhance IT Service Management collaboration and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage Foundation Data Management processes aligned with ITIL best practices.
- Define and maintain Foundation Data tables in ServiceNow, ensuring accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams, external partners, and suppliers to integrate ITSM processes.
- Audit and validate Foundation Data regularly for accuracy and completeness.
- Develop and implement data quality metrics and reporting tools.
- Automate Foundation Data Management tasks to improve efficiency.
- Mentor and lead a team of Foundation Data Analysts and specialists.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance Configuration Management.
- Provide reports and dashboards to senior management on Foundation Data activities and CMDB accuracy.
Skill Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Data Management within a global organization.
- Proven expertise in managing data structures in a multi-vendor environment.
- ServiceNow experience, ideally including CSDM implementation.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of data structures, sources, organization, storage,and workflows.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal & written.
-ITIL/ITSM certifications (preferred).
