Candidate Requirements
We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate longevity of experience working as a Site Manager across varied sectors on projects up to £5m in value. Ideally, the candidate should have experience with listed buildings as well as roofing and refurbishment.
Project Details
The contractor operating in Bicester is carrying out a refurbishment of an aircraft hangar that includes re-roofing and general refurbishment. This involves the removal of cladding/roofing and refurbishing the existing structure by installing new structural supports and glazing.
Required Qualifications
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
- First Aid Certification
- Temporary Works
Key Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day activities on site for the site team and sub-contractors
- Sub-contract and material procurement
- Developing construction plans
- Ensuring health & safety compliance
- Preparing progress reports and conducting site meetings
- Programming short-term schedules (1 week / 2 week look-ahead)
- Quality control oversight
- Liaising with the design team, M&E consultants, project architect, structural engineer and building control
